Thailand:
The Kingdom of Thailand lies at the heart of Southeast Asia with a population of around 64 million people.
It is bordered to the north by Laos and Burma, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and Burma. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast and Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea to the southwest. The capital and largest city of Thailand is Bangkok. It is also the country's centre for political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities. Thailand is also a famous tourist attraction thanks to such locations as Pattaya, Bangkok, and Phuket. The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre has been particularly active in the area since the organisation was launched in 2006 and before that through the work of precursor agencies. The Thai CEOP Advisory Panel is includes the Royal Thai Police, the British Embassy as well as specialist charities and organisations all working to protect children in Thailand.
