CEOP and Visa Europe in South East Europe

In 2010 CEOP in collaboration with Visa Europe are commencing a targeted capability building initiative in SE Europe. This initiative will seek to raise awareness of child sexual exploitation and build the capacity of the region to combat this crime, through a series of bespoke training events within Poland, Bulgaria and Romania in 2010.

Visa Europe is a founding partner of CEOP. Since 2006, Visa Europe has been providing financial support, intelligence and expertise to help identify criminals engaged in the sexual exploitation of children so that they can be brought to justice. Partnership with CEOP enables Visa Europe to play an active and important role in fighting child exploitation both in the UK and across Europe. This programme of capacity building work in South Eastern Europe is just one example of Visa Europe’s work in collaboration with CEOP’s International Child Protection Network.
