Police and Private Sector Reporting

Police Reporting

Police officers who want to contact CEOP should liaise with their CEOP SPOC or Force Intelligence Bureau for advice on how to submit information or intelligence to the NCA in accordance with the guidance on the Management of Police Information (MoPI). For any further information, your force SPOC can also contact CEOP’s Single Point of Entry Team.

Private Sector Reporting

If you believe an individual is at immediate risk of harm, call 999.

From 7th April 2026 the way that private sector providers report online child sexual abuse and exploitation has changed, in line with the Online Safety Act.

Providers who are in scope are required to report detected and unreported child sexual abuse and exploitation on their platform, to the National Crime Agency’s Industry Reporting Portal (IRP).

Unsure if your organisation is in scope? Check here: Ofcom’s Online Safety Regulations Checker.

For more information on the IRP and how to register your organisation, please visit our dedicated NCA webpage.

Please note: if you are an organisation that is currently reporting to The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children’s (NCMEC) CyberTipline, you should continue to do so. The IRP will not replace NCMEC reporting and you should not submit duplicate referrals.
